dc.description.abstract Enrollment increases to over 3,000. Statistics show that over 70% of students in Youngstown College are working either part or full time. The Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing has set a goal of 150 for the freshman class of September 1954. Cadet Lt. Col. Richard W. Brush will command the Youngstown College Reserve Officer's Training Corps Cadet Battalion for the school year. Miss Grace Vail, a former Youngstown school teacher, left an endowment of $4000 to Youngstown College to be used to help needy students. Walter J. Hogan, Jr., a patient at the Cleveland Clinic, where he has been since last June 28 as a result of an automobile accident, has been awarded the William F. Maag Jr. Scholarship So far 72 scholarships totaling over $14000 have been awarded. en_US
