dc.description.abstract Miss Leona Casey will reign as Queen of the 9th annual Mardi Gras celebration sponsored by the Newman Club. Student Council approved Phi Sigma Epsilon's request to affiliate with Sigma Phi Epsilon national social fraternity. William Hurlbert, Dana School of Music student, was a featured soloist in the Youngstown Philharmonic Orchestra. A $50,000 gift was received by Youngstown College from Mrs. Jacob Waddell, president of the Niles Fire Brick Co. and Mr. John R. T. Clingan, vice president. The money has been used for the purchase and endowment of South Hall which will be known as the Clingan-Waddell Building. This season is considered of the Penguin cagers best on record. en_US
