Student Council planned a hearing regarding the changing of the YSU mascot. OEA requested an investigation of prejudice against hiring women by the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. Local landlords who rented to YSU students sought exemptions from University inspections. Biology instructor Carl F. Chuey announced his candidacy for a state legislative seat, while Richard P.
