dc.description.abstract The Jambar received a certificate and a sixteen-inch silver cup for best bi-weekly in the state during the banquet of the Ohio College Newspaper Association held at Kent State. Graduation ceremony is set at Stambaugh Auditorium and it will be first nocturnal commencement ceremony at YoCo in the last eight years. May Day is set for May 24 and festivities include : coronation of the May Queen, Florence McKibben, the procession of attendants, a colorful pageant, tea-dancing, and an evening dance held in the school auditorium. Olga Parfenchuk, YoCo sophomore, is a finalist in the auditions of Leopold Stowkowski's All-American Youth Orchestra. en_US
