dc.description.abstract Barb Wentz was named Junior Prom Queen. YU hosted the Fifth Annual Luncheon and Presentation of Awards Ceremony of the Lake Erie Intercollegiate Rife Conference. The Ohio College Newspaper Association named The Jambar the second-place winner in the contest for “Best Bi-Weekly” publication. The Phi Gamma fraternity scheduled its 12th Annual Popularity Dance for May 3. Alpha Pi Epsilon announced “Clean Up Week” (April 28 – May 3) for the entire campus. A new snack bar was added to campus facilities. The Annual Formal and General Inspection of the YU ROTC was conducted on April 24 by representatives of the U.S. Second Army. Football spring practice began. Dr. Clarence P. Gould, head of the History Department, announced his retirement en_US
