dc.description.abstract	The popular election of Student Council president was defeated by Council. In other business, Council was to hear arguments that student publications editors should not serve concurrently as Council members. The symbolism of the YU ring was explained. Arnold Erickson of the National Education Association spoke to the YU SNEA chapter, discussing his preference of sanctions over strikes in negotiating teacher contracts.	en_US
