dc.description.abstract	Homecoming float honors were announced. The festivities were documented in a photo spread. President Jones issued a strong warning against football pools. Major Orlando Garcia, a retired Cuban Army officer who served under both Batista and Castro, was scheduled to speak to the YU Spanish Club. The United Arab Republic (today Egypt and Syria, now independent of each other) was discussed in the “Newland” section.	en_US
