dc.description.abstract The YU Musical Penguins were selected by the USO and the National Music Council to entertain US military personnel stationed in the Caribbean. Ron Daniels (YU’s NAACP chapter president) and others reported on the Civil Rights demonstrations in Selma, Alabama, while a debate on the Civil Rights Movement was sponsored by the YU Newman Club. The Circle K service organization brought home two trophies and two district offices from a conference held at Kenyon College. en_US
