dc.description.abstract Ted Pedas retires after 37 years in Astronomy. American Studies program is re-introduced with a new class, Pluralism and American Identity, being offered this winter quarter. Russian editor, Nadezhda Azhgikina, discusses women in the mass media. YSU and Jefferson Technical College simplified agreement for the ease of transferring from Jefferson Technical to YSU. New group, YSU Linguistics Group, hopes to encourage the study of language. Faculty Focus is on Dr. Stephen Ausmann who got to tour Europe as a national honor chorus director. YSU finishes the football season undefeated and will face Alcorn State this Friday for the NCAA Championship. YSU Volleyball team finishes second in the MidContinent Conference tournament. Dr. Stephen Sniderman, English, curates his own work as curator of The Butler Museum of American Art. en_US
