In a report issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Youngstown State University was rated as having the lowest crime rate of eight state-supported colleges and universities in Ohio during 1985. According to the FBI's annual Uniform Crime Report, four violent crimes occurred on the YSU campus, compared with eleven at the University of Akron and seventeen at Kent State University. |
