dc.description.abstract	Dr. Gordon E. Mapley was appointed to the position of assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. A professor of psychology from the University of South Carolina, where he also served as chairman of the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Mapley succeeds Professor Hugh Earnhart who returned to his full-time teaching duties with the History Department.	en_US
