dc.description.abstract "Youngstown likes to celebrate with fireworks, and the Fourth of July penguin honors this tradition. This penguin conveys a celebratory mood from bottom to top, depicting daylight turning to dusk. By the time you reach the top of the penguin's body, it is pitch-black darkness. In this darkness, the vibrant, colorful fireworks are 'bursting in air!'" Lynn Anderson is a Poland Seminary H.S. grad and has an A.A. in visual communication from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh; a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing from Cal State University at Northridge; and a M. Ed. in Instructional Technology from Kent State University. Lynn was the winner of the Ohio State Bicentennial Medallion design contest and currently teaches part time at YSU. en_US
