dc.description.abstract "Many works of literature allude to future events through a literary device called 'foreshadowing,' but what happens when our foreshadows come from the past? My design depicts the prosperity and strength of our past steel industry through the dark rusty colors of the pedestal--evolving into the bright silvery chrome colors of the penguin, simultaneously representing our glorious past and our bright future." Scott Roloff is a longtime resident of northeast Ohio who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Painting from YSU in 2001. He received the Myron Lepore Memorial Award in Drawing, the Student Art Association Award for Painting, and the Butler Institute of Art Award. He was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and was awarded various academic scholarships. en_US
