dc.description.abstract	This photograph depicts volunteers working in a school kitchen in Youngstown, Ohio, diluting polio vaccines with distilled water in preparation for distribution. The program, which was sponsored by the Mahoning County Medical Society and endorsed by the American Medical Association, was reportedly the first in the nation. This phase of the project occurred February 15-17, 1962.	en_US
