dc.description.abstract Larry Esterly presided. President Neil Humphrey addressed the Senate. The Senate Executive Committee motioned to adopt a procedure for making appointments to FAC Advisory Committee to the Chancellor. The Elections and Balloting Committee announced nominations for Chairman of the Academic Senate and members for the Charter and ByLaws Committee. The Academic Standards and Events Committee announced a series of meetings to be held for faculty, departments and schools to discuss concerns. The Computer Services Committee reported on its policy. The Honors and Individualized Curriculum Committee reported on the appointment of a subcommittee to review a request to develop a set of guidelines for the ICP. The Ad Hoc Committee on Undetermined Majors reported on the increase in the number of undermined majors. The Programs Division of Academic Programs and Curriculum Committee was instructed to investigate the termination of the Metallurgical Engineering Program without the sanction of the Senate.
