Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of October 06, 1993

Abstract

Virginia Phillip, Chair presided. Elections and Balloting Committee reported on nominations for Chairperson of the Senate and nominations for Charter and Bylaws. Senate Executive Committee announced the dates of the next meetings, for committees to keep in mind student members' schedules when scheduling meetings, and an open forum will be held for faculty on October 20th to raise questions and discussion relative to the Mission Statement. Dr. Rost reported on the Faculty Advisory Committee to the Chancellor. The Academic Planning Committee explained to the Senate the Mission and Goals Statement process. Provost Scanlon made remarks on the Mission and Goals statements.
