Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of June 01, 1988

Abstract

DR. Rost, Chairman, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported that the process of appointing faculty members to Senate Committees and making recommendations for Administrative Committees has been complete. Dr. Rost gave Dr. Khawaja's report on the FAC meeting. The Elections and Balloting Committee reported that the list of newly elected Senators is now available. The Academic Research Committee reported on the recommendation of a revision of the patent policy. The Academic Planning Committee motioned to discontinue the committee. The Computer Services Committee reported on approved recommendations. The Honors and Individualized Curriculum Subcommittee reported on the number of ICPs this year and the need to have a funded university honors program. The Continuing Eduction Subcommittee reported on a survey which was developed to assess departmental attitudes, to determine the needs of departments and to examine methods for improving the delivery of programs. The Student Academic Affairs Committee reported. The Academic Standards and Events Committee reported on the issues of plagiarism.
