dc.description.abstract Virginia Phillips presided. Bill Jenkins would serve temporarily as parliamentarian due to the unavoidable absence of the regular parliamentarian. Remarks were made by President Leslie Cochran. The Senate Executive Committee reported that Administrative Committee assignments have been completed and that the committee is working on a Mission and Goals and Objective statement for the Academic Senate. The Academic Programs Committee gave an informational report only. The Integrated Technologies Committee reported on some of its activity of the past year which include: the submission of a memorandum to the Provost concerning the appropriation of funds received from the state legislature for computers and other forms of instructional technology, a meeting of the peer review team to review the status of computing and network technology on the YSU campus, and the importance of the committee's meeting March 9th to to discuss the recommendations and future role of the ITC. New Business was from the Honors and Individual Curriculum Committee requesting authority to approve Honors sections of any course currently listed in the YSU Bulletin.
