Chairman Clyde Vanaman presided. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee reported on interpretation to items in the constitution and Senate apportionment. The Executive Committee reported on what comprises as "service area" in which the University is located and that Academic Events Committee is now a policy-making committee. The Curriculum Committee reported on course changes. Dr. Jones, YSU representative for the Faculty Advisory Committee to the Board of Regents reported. New Business focused on: dropping the requirement that students organizations must have a faculty advisor, foreign language requirements, and the establishment of a student academic grievance committee. |
