dc.description.abstract	Interim chair, Sunil Ahuja, presided. Nominations for Chair of the Senate, Charter and Bylaws Committee members and Ohio Faculty Council Representative are given. President David Sweet addressed the Academic Senate and spoke about enrollment. Provost Robert Herbert discussed strategic planning. The Senate committees for the 2006-2007 academic year have been appointed. Dr. Paul Sracic of the Department of Political Science is the new Coordinator of General Education. The Ohio Faculty Council met and elected Dr. John Cuppoletti of the University of Cincinnati as OFC's chair. The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee reported on approved courses that cleared the circulation process. The General Education Committee appended to the agenda a list of certified general education courses that cleared the circulation process. Under New Business, Associate Provost Bege Bowers gave an update on Higher Learning Commission (North Central Association) Accreditation Preparation.
