dc.description.abstract	Jim Morrison, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported it will begin making committee assignments. The Committee has received resolutions from Student Government concerning a change in criteria for general education and the creation of a 14th goal. Questions were raised about the semester conversion. The Academic Programs Committee reported it and the Curriculum Committee will jointly distribute courses and programs for Q2S with full reports housed in the deans' offices. The Library Committee approved the proposed 1999-2000 library budget. New Business discussed minors under the semester systems with the Academic Standards Committee answering questions and the student government resolutions regarding General Education.
