Presented are the agenda and minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Youngstown State University on March 17, 1947. Highlights include: The enrollment statement; changes in faculty status; reports on the Association of the Friends of Youngstown College Library and the Library Building Project; a report by the North Central Association Advisory Committee, with concern laying chiefly with the unaccredited status of the Law School; the accreditation of the Dana School of Music by the National Association of Schools of Music; the purchase of the Reebel property on Bryson Street; the acquisition of four surplus Army barracks (temporary buildings) under the Lanham Act, to be transported from Camp Perry, Ohio; the approval by the U.S. Government for YoCo to receive government surplus equipment, some of it free of charge; a recommendation for an honorary degree to be bestowed upon J.C. Argetsinger; and the College financial report. The minutes of the Annual Meeting of the College are also included. |
