Abstract:
Presented is the agenda of the meeting of the Board of Governors of Youngstown College on March 21, 1938. The Board elected its officers for the school year 1938-1939. The Board approved the funding of the YoCo football team and approved its schedule for 1938. The Library Committee presented its report. The College’s financial report was attached, as is a letter from Dr. Franklin H. McNutt concerning the YoCo teacher training program. Other items considered included: an English course for the employees of the General Fireproofing Company, the expansion of the College in terms of both students and facilities (e.g., the property at 416 Wick Avenue), a question of the need for a health and accident insurance scheme for faculty and staff, summer school for faculty members, and the College’s policy on faculty tenure.
