dc.description.abstract Senate Chairperson Chet Cooper presided. The Senate Executive Committee voted to pass a resolution to honor Bob Hogue for his service as Secretary of Academic Senate. The Ohio Faculty Counsel meeting discussed STRS. Dr. Annette Burden resigned from the Elections and Balloting Committee and her seat on the academic senate. The Academic Standards Committee motioned to pass the removal of a foreign language requirement from the STEM BS degree. The motion was voted on and passed. The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee reported on lists of courses approved. The General Education Committee reported it had approved SOC 2601, Social Problems, for inclusion in the Social Studies domain of the General Education model. The Library Committee reported there is currently a bill on the Governor's desk with continued funding, for two years, for OhioLink.
