Chet Cooper, Senate Chair, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported on committee assignments, elections for the General Education Committee and the Charter and Bylaws Committee, the Project Challenge, its evaluation of Interim Provost Martin Abraham, and the requirement for electronic course materials to be ADA compliant. The Elections and Balloting Committee gave a verbal report on elections that all at large and department senators had been elected for next year. The Academic Programs Committee reported on approved courses. The Academic Standards Committee reported on the modification of student credit load for Baccalaureate and Associate degrees. The General Education Committee reported on its preparation for reaccreditation with the Higher Learning Commission as well as a SPA-IP waiver for international students,samples of the ROAD project and changes on the Associate Degree General Education Requirements. The Library Committee reported on a 14% deduction, OhioLink, JSTOR and a request to the Provost to fill vacancies. The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee reported on approved courses. |
