Academic Senate Meeting Minutes of March 02, 2016

Abstract

YSU President Jim Tressel addressed the Senate on the Culture of Community Collaborative and Student Recruitment. The Elections and Balloting Committee was working on departmental elections. The Academic Events Committee reported on recommendations for Commencement speakers. Academic Research Committee reported on the Collaborative Instructional Training Initiative (CITI) training. Academic Standards reported on a recommendation to change process for evaluating teaching and learning and reviewed the deans list policy. The Program Review Committee gave an update. New Business included the following: Experiential Learning; National Survey of Student Engagement Update; The Campus Climate Survey Update and the SGA Textbook Affordability Initiative.
