Academic Senate Minutes of September 07, 2016

Abstract

Senate guests and new members were introduced. Nominations were held for Senate Chair with Chet Cooper continuing as Chair. Amy Flick was appointed as Senate Secretary, Dan O'Neill was appointed as Parliamentarian and Adam Earnheardt was nominated as Vice Chair of the Senate Executive Committee. Nominations were held for the Charter and Bylaws Committee. The Senate Executive Committee reported on committee vacancies, a presentation for Board of Trustees, changes to the academic dishonesty policy, and the university excused absence policy. The Program Review Committee will meet with the Deans and coordinators of programs undergoing full program review this year. In New Business, placement testing was discussed with various reports being accepted and a powerpoint presentation on the results of the Campus Climate Survey was given.
