Academic Senate Minutes of February 01, 2017

Abstract

Chet Copper, Senate Chair, reported on deadlines, a resolution of dissent regarding the US Immigration Policy, and an update on the YES committee. The Charter and Bylaws committee reported to include part-time faculty and a review of the committee to take place. The Ohio Faculty Council reported on the College Credit Plus program. Academic Events Committee reported on Spring Commencement speaker nominee, Bruce Springsteen, the need for macebearers, and the immigration ban. The Academic Standards reported on the Guided Admissions policy; discussion followed. In New Business Hillary Fuhrman discussed the National Survey of Student Engagement Results and Karen Becker discussed the learning goals and outcomes for the First Year Experience students.
