Academic Senate Minutes of April 05, 2017

Abstract

Chet Cooper, Senate Chair, reported on the activities of the Executive Committee which include : The course withdrawal policy, part time representation on the Senate, and the YES committee meeting to develop a definition of shared governance. Charter and Bylaws Committee reported on nominations for at large senators. The Academic Events Committee reported on upcoming graduation ceremonies and those nominated for macebearers and commencement speakers for the 2017-2018 academic year. Reports were approved from the Academic Programs, General Education and the Undergraduate Curriculum Committees. Unfinished Business pertained to recommendations for the Grievance Procedures. New Business included : the Student Complaint Policy and Process, the Student Satisfaction Survey, and the policies for Campus postings.
