Academic Senate Minutes of February 14, 2018

Abstract

The Senate Executive Committee reported that the Inner Circle Social Hour will occur after the Senate meeting. Items received after the agenda deadline will no longer be accepted. Chet Cooper gave a report from the Ohio Faculty Council on a proposal to overhaul Ohio's educational government structure. Reports were given by Senate Committee including the Academic Events Committee on potential commencement speakers and the General Education Committee on FTE/Orientation courses. New Business included the following: HEI Course Classifications, Conflict of Interest Policy, HLC Faculty Accreditation Update, Research Bias in Research Professorship Vetting Process, and SGA's proposed changes to the Academic Calendar Fall 2019.
