Academic Senate Minutes of April 25, 2018

Abstract

No official business took place during this meeting due to a lack of quorum. The meeting was entirely informational. Dr. Cooper attended the Provost Brown Bag to speak up on behalf of department chairs who are overburdened. An ad hoc committee appointed to deal with the implementation of the First Year Experience. A draft resolution was presented honoring Dr. Daniel O'Neil for his fifty years at YSU. Dr. Cooper stated his intent to appoint Max Grubb as parliamentarian next year. The Academic Programs Committee gave a report on program changes. Academic Standards reported on a proposal Name Change & Modifications to Petition for Excluding Older Grades (Statute of Limitations). The General Education Committee reported on results from the ROAD submissions. New Business included proposed modifications to the workload policy.
