dc.description.abstract | The North Central Accreditation report was proceeding. The enrollment in coursework for under-prepared students was distributed. Provost Gillis discussed the limitation on the number of credit hours in which a student could enroll in a quarter. The Provost requested for any changes in the Limited Service Faculty Appointment form. The Provost distributed a memo from Jim McCollum on the definition of an Independent Contractor. The Selective Excellence proposals were discussed. Assistant Dean Mapley reported that degree audit software programs from other universities were being evaluated. Dean Ruggles reported that the Athletic Advising has established a study table adjacent to the coaches' offices for athletes in academic difficulty. The Provost reported that he and the President will meet with officials in Harrisburg to discuss reciprocity, for tuition purposes, to apply to Pennsylvania residents attending YSU and Ohio residents attending Slippery Rock and Edinboro. The Associate Provost announced a State-wide effort to recruit and retain Black and other non-Asian minority students for graduate and undergraduate study at Ohio's state universities. Enrollment for Fall 1987 was reported. Two new scholarships were announced for the students in the Williams School of Business Administration. The Deans' Scholarship was discussed. | en_US |
