Abstract

YSU alumnus Ron Jaworski returned to his Alma Mater Friday to give a lecture about "preparing for a life in sports media." Members of the YSU's nationally ranked moot court team had the opportunity to present arguments for a case problem as part of a Constitution Day celebration in front of a jam-packed audience in Tod Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Tyler Poulakos, a YSU alumnus, is serving the greater Youngstown community combating health disparities through the Health Professions Affinity Community. The United Way Day of Caring brings in 1,200 volunteers to service Youngstown areas. Students are experiencing wireless network outages during the five year campus-wide software refresh plan. For over four decades, the Newman Center on YSU's campus sets time aside on Wednesday nights to fill the center with music and fellowship and to bring the community together through home-cooked meals. Hannah Thomas, a junior business administration major, promotes Amazon Prime Student benefits at Kilcawley Center. Thirty percent of college student change their major at least one within three years of enrollment. Jaron LeGrair, a new addition to the Dana School of Music faculty, revives YSU's gospel choir course. The Kitchen Post, located in downtown Youngstown, made its mark as one of Ohio's "must-stop" dining options. Penguin Productions debuts its fall concert series. The YSU football team is off to a dominant start this season due in part to the many transfer athletes that are part of the program. Men's and women's basketball teams unveil their schedules for the season. The San Francisco 49ers made a stop in Youngstown to practice on a YSU soccer field before their week two match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals.
