dc.description.abstract Freshmen reception plans are complete to take place October 6. There is an increase in enrollment from 702 last year to 900 this year. Comments are given from Dr. George M. Wilcox about Youngstown College. Physical Director, Jack McPhee has chosen Bill Lackey, varsity basketball member, to act as intramural leader for the coming year. There is an Interview with basketball coach, Jack McPhee, on the upcoming season. There is an article on the importance of school spirit as well as an article welcoming the new faculty members: Prof. Russell G. Bunn, Dr. Harold N. Burt, and Dr. Katherine Bridgham. Letter to the editor involves the lack of a football team. New officers for Student Council were elected October 1 : President, Fred McFarland, Vice-President, Mildred Strain, Treasurer, Bill McDonald and Chairman Athletic Board, Ray Codrea. The Woman's Athletic Association has helped put together a woman's intramural program. For the benefit of the Freshman the Jambar posted the Alma Mater and the Hip Hip Hooray cheer. Then annual Freshman Breakfast will be held on Thursday morning, September 27, at Pioneer Pavilion. en_US
