Abstract

The amount of parking meters in front of the Williamson College of Business Administration is about to increase. The YSU Student Government Association body unanimously passed a bylaw amendment on Feb. 17th to rename the SGA Spirit Award as the Rebecca Banks Spirit Award. The Relay for Life of YSU is in full swing promoting and engaging the community in its year event, raising money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley reached a record of food distribution in the Youngstown area. Several renovations and upgrades will occur at YSU this year and the Jambar gives the latest ones. YSU students can take part in the John Burgan Entrepreneurship Prize of $2400 dedicated to help create a business startup or keep a student-run business afloat. YSU Students United hosted a student-led discussion on race and ethnicity Feb. 17 through a collaboration with MALAINA, a YSU Honors College organization which stands for Middle Eastern, African American, Latino, Asian, international, Native American and Alaskan. Plus-size boutiques in Youngstown are featured. YSU senior, Justin Shaughnessy, tweets at Ellen Degeneres every day. Advising adjustments are coming for YSU Colleges. Misinformation in social media tends to spread with the desire to be first person in publishing or sharing news. The YSU baseball team wins two games against the University of Houston. YSU softball team score 17-2 against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The YSU men's and women's basketball teams near the end of their regular season.
