dc.description.abstract The first Gina Tenney Memorial Scholarship was presented to Wendy S. Weingartner of Shenango Township, Pennsylvania. The one-year, $400 scholarship comes from a fund which has reached about $4,000. It was established in January 1986 through the efforts of Student Councilin memory of 19-year old Gina Tenney of Ashtabula. Ms. Tenney, a YSU student who was active in various campus groups and activities, was murdered off-campus in December 1985. As part of the Dana Concert Series, Wade and Rosemary Raridon of the voice faculty at YSU will present a public recital on September 29 in Bliss Recital Hall. en_US
