YSU Jazz Ensemble to perform in Jazz Fest; Dr. Mohan K. Wali will give a lecture at YSU; and famed Richards Woodwind Quintet gives concert.

Abstract

YSU's Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Tony Leonardi of Poland, has been selected to perform at the Cuyahoga Community College "Jazz Fest" in Cleveland April 25. Dr. Mohan K. Wali, professor and director of graduate program in the Environmental Science Department at the State University of New York, Syracuse, will give a lecture on "Energy and Land Use: reclaiming Drastically Disturbed Ecosystems" at YSU April 26. There will be a public concert May 10 in Bliss Recital Hall by the famed Richards Woodwind Quintet from Michigan State University as part of YSU's Kieth Stein Memorial National Woodwind Clinic.
