The employment outlook for college graduates looked “bright.” A campus discussion on the military draft was planned. YSU female respondents to a University poll opposed being drafted 3 to 2, while over half of YSU’s men favored reinstitution of the draft, including the induction of women. Student Council was informed of a new student orientation program, Students Serving Students. A new course, “Black Images in Film,” was announced, while journalist Tony Brown decried the way black Americans were portrayed on TV. Students urged the creation of a campus daycare center.
