Description:
November 22 - December 14, 2019
The MFA First Year and Collaborative Project Exhibition features individual and collaborative works by Venise Abell, Karen Fisher, Kerrianne Ghinda, Chanda Weigel and Evie Zimmer who are first and second year students in the Department of Art’s MFA Interdisciplinary Visual Arts program. The MFA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts is unique in that it requires students to examine and integrate the methods, theory, skills and insights from two or more traditional
or non-traditional visual arts with non-art coursework. The program is designed to cultivate the practice of interdisciplinarity: to promote different perspectives, methods, media and processes to encourage creative problem
solving.
