Penguin Alerts notified the campus community of an armed robbery across from Cafaro House in the M90 parking lot on Elm Street. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, NEOMED limited the number of health care professions and YSU nursing students allowed in the facility and as a result, students accommodate care for patients through telemedicine. A history of labor strikes in the Valley is looked at. YSU's Student Social Work Association (SSWA) aims to bring awareness and promote social justice both on campus and through the community. The YSU Newman Center provides Thanksgiving carry-out meals. YSU's Office of Residence Life is hosting a virtual information session detailing how to become a resident assistant. After a lengthy absence due to COVID-19, live music returns to Suzie's Dogs & Drafts in Boardman. Honors students participate in "Storytime," a virtual program reading books to children. Youngstown Historical Fencing is featured. Stambaugh Auditorium adapts to virtual events. Pete's Pride is a chance for alumni to stay connected to YSU and give back. Gary Walker, professor of Biological Sciences is the faculty feature. This week in YSU history, the 2019-2020 men's basketball season is reviewed.
