dc.description.abstract Low student enrollment, declining state funding for higher education and increasing utility cost are being cited for an almost $1.2 million shortfall in YSU's current budget. The Smoky Hollow redevelopment project has entered the next phase of production. Some Ohio lawmakers are devising a plan to financially reward colleges that increase the number of graduates who earn their degrees in a timely manner. YSU benefactor, Tony Lariccia, has donated $100,000 to build a bronze statue of YSU's first president Dr. Howard Jones. en_US
