dc.description.abstract Students rallied behind faculty in a protest of incoming cuts on September 26. YSU is experiencing an unprecedented amount of car break-ins. In a collaboration with Purdue University, YSU has created the YSU Data Mine, along with a data mining program, to provide Penguins opportunities in the emergent field of data science. International Coffee Hour brings students together. British pop singer, Engelbert Humperdinck, will visit Stambaugh Stadium December 14. The YSU Art Department teamed up with the city of East Liverpool to create murals in its downtown area. YSU's chapter of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars has been recognized as a Gold Star Chapter for the 2021-2022 academic year. The local roller derby team, Youngstown Little Steel Derby Girls, is featured. The women's soccer team head into a well deserved break after a tough couple games and sitting at 2-6-3. Junior Justine Appolonia of the women's soccer team is featured. The YSU volleyball team continues to struggle following its road trip to Wisconsin. Softball practices for spring with "fallball." en_US
