dc.description.abstract A Youngstown State University hiring policy that has been in place since 2003 is being questioned by the Academic Senate because it could possibly lead to the abuse of affirmative action laws. Joe Nickell, a paranormal investigator, will speak on campus as part of the Albert J. Shipka Speakers Series. House Bill 12, which would allow tailgaters to bring their own alcohol and allow alcohol consumption on designated areas during football games, has passed through the Ohio House. SGA pushes for lower tuition and encourage students to fill out postcards telling their state representatives how they are affected by rising tuition costs. Jambar interviews YSU pitcher, Kelly Murphy. The NCAA, the governing body of college athletics, recently released its Academic Progress Rate report and YSU ranked among some of the nations elite. en_US
