Several donations were made to the Kilcawley: Centered on the Future campaign over the holiday season. The YSU board of trustees met in Tod Hall Dec. 11-12 to discuss key university topics, approve measures to foster student success and enhance academic programs. YSU saw a growth in its student community last fall semester with a 10.7% increase in enrollment. Youngstown Clothing Co. expanded to a new shop at the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio. The YSU bowling team is hard at work on the recruiting trail. With the conclusion of the holiday season, many people felt the need to volunteer more and can find opportunities to do so at the Penguin Pulse website. Holiday gifts of crafting are suggested. The Study Abroad program is featured. The Cove W Winery, operated by YSU communications professor Cary Wecht, is featured. The Jambar interviews Stacey Adger, a YSU alumna and dispatcher for the YSU Police Department. YSU track and field teams split up to open its 2024-2025 season. The YSU distance swimmers competed in the 2024 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Open Water Championship at Biscayne Bay in Florida. The YSU women's basketball team concluded nonconference play and will finish the season with a stretch of Horizon League opponents. The YSU men's basketball team thrives over the winter break. |
