Abstract

The Bitonte College of Health and Human Services will be adding an associate program in radiologic technology beginning fall 2025. The YSU Ethic Bowl team tied with Macalester College in the 2025 Association for Practical and Professional Ethics Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl National Championship. The Dana School of Music's Crescendo Campaign received a $300,000 gift for Flor "Shorty" Navarro on Feb. 14. Over the past month, a combined total of $1.4 million was donated to the Kilcawley: Centered on the Future Campaign. A proposed bill in Ohio, "Conception Begins at Erection Act," is looked at. Food services worker, Linda Wittenauer, is featured. Frank Sinkwich, a 1942 Heisman Trophy winner and former running back for the University of Georgia, has been honored with a mural on Youngstown's west side. Northern Illinois University will face off against YSU in 13 athletic programs as it joins the Horizon League. YSU will host its 10 annual HackYSU March 21-23. Two Jazz combos from the Dana School of Music performed in the Spotlight Theater Feb. 27. Lady Gaga's album "Mayhem" is featured. Women's basketball lost to Wright State University in the first round of the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship. The YSU softball team has gone on a cold streak, winning three of its last 10 games. The YSU track and field teams reclaimed the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championship on March 1-2 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The YSU women's lacrosse team earned four-straight wins after a 1-3 start to the season. History was made in Corteva Coliseum as the men's basketball team made its first ever appearance in the finals of the Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championship.
