dc.description.abstract | Controversy erupted when Student Council overrode Student Government President Ray Nakley’s wishes and approved a new budget. Students voiced their approval of the new registration format. The Business School recalled six of the seventeen student workers who were previously terminated due to budgetary cuts. Dr. John White (Sociology and Anthropology) prepared an archaeological expedition to uncover the remains of a Pennsylvania gunpowder plant from World War I. The Board of Trustees approved the conversion of one floor of the Kilcawley dormitory to co-ed occupancy. A wave of thefts and other petty crimes broke out on campus.
