dc.description.abstract Due to a lack of an agreement between YSU and the faculty union, the University administration considered cancelling the Summer 1981 quarter. Author Chaim Potok spoke as the latest speaker in the Schirmer Scholar-In-Residence series. An alumnus formed his own financial assistance company. 13 YSU graduates were to be award MD degrees from NEOUCOM. Dr. Leon Rand, dean of the Graduate School, accepted a new post in North Carolina. en_US
