dc.description.abstract An arson fire in the Mahoning Valley Association of Churches building caused heavy damage, especially to the office of YSU-OEA. The University began an energy conservation campaign. Due to legislation in Columbus, tuition at YSU would increase by fifty dollars. Dr. Carol Gay (English) claimed that folklore was rooted in bigotry, Louisa Marchionda (Home Economics) that hot dogs were unhealthy due to excess nitrates, and the Jambar reviewer that the Youngstown Playhouse presentation of “The Stranger” was “one hell of a play.” en_US
