Abstract:
With enrollment decreasing, a tuition hike was certain unless passage of Ohio Senate Bill 694 was secured. A rally was held in protest against a possible tuition increase, with 300 students encouraged to write letters to Columbus. The Metallurgical Engineering program lost its accreditation due to a lack of faculty. Boxing champion and local hero Ray “Boom-Boom” Mancini was honored by his fans during an “Appreciation Night” in Kilcawley Center.
