dc.description.abstract | Student Council debated two issues dealing with elections. Facilities closed a sidewalk along the Madison Avenue Expressway, due to stadium construction. Thieves steal a battery from a vehicle in the Wick Avenue parking deck. Congressman Lyle Williams declared his support for “Reaganomics.” Dr. Gordon Longmuir (H&PE) came out in support of running. Bliss and Jones Halls were scheduled to be remodeled to make them more energy efficient. A “plus and minus” system of grading received laudatory praise. Career Services promoted summer employment. Extended Education (a part of Continuing Education) sponsored a seminar. Dr. William Hulsopple (Speech, Communication & Theatre) predicted the winners of the 1982 Academy Awards. | en_US |
